It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annie Mae Howie Freeman (Washington, District of Columbia), born in Waxhaw, North Carolina, who passed away on September 26, 2022, at the age of 107, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Porter and Jay Nesbitt Howie; her husband Otis Freeman; her siblings, Johnolie, James, Julius, George, Robert Howie, Bertha and Bessie Howie; and her daughter Eva F. Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Otis Freeman of Washington, DC, Juanita Thompson and Dorothy O. Taylor; and her sister Geneva Myers of Cleveland, OH. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
