She was predeceased by: her parents, James and Ellen (June) of Washington; her husband Herman Powell; and her daughter Betty Douglas. She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Dunbar-Brannum (Michel), Gloria, Sheila Powell, Carolyn Barnes (Oliver), Jaqueline Brown, Artina Swilley and Wonzell Wilson; and her pet Jack. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
