We announce the death of Brian Christopher Tilley of Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 53. Brian will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He is survived by: his mother Sherry Tilley (Hixenbaugh) of Salem, Ohio; his wife Christine Fleury; his siblings, Stephen Tilley (Enie) of Port St, Jason Tilley (Jennifer) of Champion, Ohio, Kristine Tilley of Las Vegas, Nevada, Angela Wurz (Travis) of Swanton, Ohio, Justin Tilley of Salem and Amanda Tilley of Salem; his parents-in-law, Paul and Mary Fleury of Westover, Maryland; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Fleury (Sarah) of Charleston and Timothy Fleury (Katherine) of Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Olde Breton Inn (21890 Society Hill Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650). A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to honor Brian consider making a memorial contribution to Mahoning County Children's Services, 222 W. Federal Street, Youngstown, OH 44503, to support the needs of children in foster care.
