He was predeceased by: his parents, Malawyer Pitts and Jeannie Bell Pitts; his son Marcus Pitts; and his siblings, Milton Pitts, John Pitts, Dareather Lowe and Helen Pitts Gilchrist.
He is survived by: his wife Lula Pitts; his children, Ben (Lorena) and Beatrice; his brother Harvey Pitts; his sister-in-law Mary; and his grandchildren, Marquis, Aliyah, Rashad, Ahmad, Milan, Asia, Makayla, Kingston, Jamir and Nylah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
