He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Tanner and Alma G. Tanner; and his sister Barbara A. Tanner. He is survived by: his wife Helen Tanner; his sister Eura T. Jackson (Ernest); his sons, Charles Tanner, Anthony Tanner and Vincent Tanner; his stepson Larry Lyttle (Queen); his daughter Tonya Thomas; and his nieces, Denise Barnett (Harvey), Amanda Morgan (William) and Doris Jackson. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and nine great - great grandchildren.
