He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvyn Hill Patterson and Grace Heastie Patterson; and his brother Craig P. Patterson. He is survived by: his sister Keeva Patterson Harmon (John Harmon); his nephews, Joshua Yeawlé Harmon and Justin Klà Harmon; his niece Jarena Adé Harmon; his aunts, Kathleen Patterson Durham, Sydney Patterson Robinson and Elva Heastie Gamble; his cousins, Brian Jones, Phillicia Nelson, Patriece Nelson Lee, Kimberly Higgs Hood, Carl Heastie and Linda Heastie; and his close friends, Virgil Hood, Gary Williams, Linda Jordan, Paige Coward, Petrina Williams and LaJuan Jones. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM and on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Luke's Episcopal Church (1514 15th St NW, Washington, DC 20005). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery (3401 Bladensburg Rd, Brentwood, MD 20722).
