He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Purnell of Tacoma Washington, Mildred Pernell of Tacoma Washington, Gladys Brown of Tacoma Washington, Russell Pernell of Tacoma Washington, Bobby Jenny Kinard of Tacoma Washington, Randolph Pernell of Tacoma Washington and Christopher Pernell of Tacoma Washington; his siblings-in-law, Al Kinard, Clarence Ramsey, Eddie Billings, Latarian Brown, Louise Jones of Jackson Mississippi, Sandra Purnell of Longview Texas and Karen Pernell of Tacoma Washington; his adoptive son Wesley Jeter; his close friends, Courtney Williams, Mary Mitchell, Reverend Harris Thomas, Denise Jackson and Kevin Jayson; and his cousin Vivion Williams. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Episcopal Church (555 Water St SW, Washington, DC 20024). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
