He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dowdy and Virginia Dowdy; and his siblings, Samuel, Charles Dowdy, Delores Briscoe and Marion Purviance.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Owen Dowdy; his daughters, Melani Dowdy-Tucker (Scott Tucker) and Lauren Dowdy; his granddaughter Londyn Camejo; his brother Ronald Dowdy; and his siblings-in-law, Juanita Owens, John Owens (Ida) and Roy Owens (Janice). He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the March Life Tribute Center - Randallstown (5616 Old Court Rd, Windsor Mill, MD 21244). A wake will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (4915 St Barnabas Rd, Temple Hills, MD 20748). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at 11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
