He is survived by : his wife Andrea Dennis; his children, Christie Tuddles (Phil), Lisa Taylor (Todd), Callieshia Wimbush (Frederick), Earl Wallace Jr., Kimkia Hunter and Zackeidria Hunter; his grandchildren, Tashanae Qawwee, Ze'Quan Wimbush, Demirio Wimbush, Khi Wimbush, Tae'Onne Wallace, Hayes Wimbush and Greyson Swinson; his siblings, Gail Ward (William) and Vida Dennis; his nieces and nephews, Denise Ward, Stephen Ward (Matthew Becht), Christopher Payton (Janay), Alayna Payton, Morgan Ward and Maddix Ward; his aunt Mary Sawyer; and his in-laws, Darlyn Newman (Larry), Charlene Sturdivant (Robert), Beverly Hunter and Mordecai King. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Antioch Baptist Church (1105 50th St NE, Washington, DC 20019). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.

In honor of David Lloyd Dennis Jr.'s memory, the family kindly requests donations of plants in lieu of traditional floral arrangements.
