She was predeceased by : her parents, Warren Smith and Beulah Smith; her siblings, William Smith, Vera Primm, Mary Moore, James Smith and Andrew Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Patricia Edwards Tisdale and Andrew Edwards (Bonita).

She is survived by : her husband Robert Charles Edwards; her children, Angela D. Hutchins (Darin) and Charles A. Edwards (Loretta); her grandchildren, Anthony (Ashley), Jessicca (Dillon), Quentin and Olivia; her great grandchildren, Briscoe, James and Amariah; her siblings, Julia C. Howze, Larry D. Smith and Sandra D. Moore (Tim); and her siblings-in-law, Beatrice Vicks (Lonnie), Zephia Conaway, Fannie Deborah Griffin (Andrew) and Kenneth Edwards (Donna). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Ennon Baptist Church (9832 Piscataway Rd, Clinton, MD 20735). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
