We are sad to announce that, on February 7, 2026, at the age of 78, Edmund Freeman (Washington, District of Columbia), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Belknap Freeman and Florence Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Kira Tewalt; his children, D. Eric Freeman, Gregory Freeman, Timothy Freeman (Margaret), Muluken Tewalt and Genet Tewalt; and his grandchildren, Lillian Freeman, Spencer Freeman, James Freeman, Noah Salzman, Aliza Freeman and Ariel Freeman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
