She was predeceased by: her husband Richard D. Lewis, Sr.; her parents, William F Mills, Sr. and Emma Hall Mills; and her siblings, William F., Jr., Robert, Henry, Donald, Lorraine, Betsy and Sadie.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy R. Lewis and Richard D. Lewis, Jr.; her grandson Alijah J. Lewis; her sister Rosemary Mills Massey; and her aunt Frances Liggins. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nineteenth Street Baptist Church (4606 16th St NW, Washington, DC 20011). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172).
