He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Simms Sr. and Cynthia Stancil; his cousin William Mathews; and his children, Eric H. Simms Jr., Erica Simms and Maria Simms. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
