“Ernestine and I have been friends since elementary school., We attended Shaw Junior High and graduated from Dunbar High in 1950. Our paths changed. She became a school teacher. I chose a government career. Nonetheless we were friends for life. She was at my wedding in 1952.Years later she found the love of her life. She married Rev. Smalls Bartley. From that union three children were born. I was present when one of her sons married. Always called me Puzz my nickname. RIP my friend. a”
