Faye Thomasina Stewart Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Faye Thomasina Stewart (Washington, District of Columbia) is shared. Faye, born on August 14, 1963, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Smiley Thomas Carpenter and JoAnn Faye Carpenter; and her sons, Malcolm "Tre" Caroll and Brandon Michael Caroll. She is survived by: her husband Michael Stewart; her stepchildren, LayQuan Stewart, Katema Snowden (Rasonne), Tamisha Dalton (Stephan) and Malikah Stewart; her sisters, Michelle Johnson and Sheryl Carpenter; her nieces and nephews, Aaron Johnson, Andre Johnson (Sherrita), Alyssea "AJ" Johnson, LaToya Carpenter and Nakayla Johnson; her great-nephews, Andre Johnson Jr., Aaron Johnson II, Douglas Johnson and Aidan Carpenter; and her great-niece Zaya Johnson. She is also survived by extended family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lighthouse Baptist Church (3150 Middletown Rd, Waldorf, MD 20603). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
She also made a meaningful contribution to her workplace by coordinating Black History programs for several years, creating opportunities to educate, celebrate Black contributions, and fostering a more inclusive and understanding environment.
