Frederick Allen (Buck) Anderson Obituary
It is with great sadness that I announce the death of Frederick Allen (Buck) Anderson (Washington, District of Columbia), born in Rockville Centre, New York, and of Washington, DC, and McDonough, NY, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Founder and creative genius behind MagiCrafts Metaphysical Jewelry, Fred was the most prominent Pagan jeweler of his day. Every Triple Goddess design today was inspired by his work. And every pentacle "was lovingly handwoven by magical people during the waxing moon." © Fred was an initiate in the Blue Star Tradition of Witchcraft and was a priest of Hermes. Morningstar Coven, which he led as high priest evolved into Keepers of the Rede when he met and was handfasted to Debbie. Not one to limit himself, Fred was also a Freemason. Initially a 32° member of Free and Accepted Masonry Lodge 177 in Binghamton, NY, he came to realize the error of exclusion by gender, and he affiliated with Louis Goaziou Lodge #1953 of the International Order of Freemasonry for Men and Women, Le Droit Humain, American Federation in 2010. Debbie was initiated at the same time, and they loved their lodge and attended regularly until Fred's health made attendance difficult. Fred loved working in his garden in McDonough. Fred lived and loved his Masonic values. He was buried in his sash and apron. In addition to his wife, Debbie, Fred is survived by his children, Daniel Buck, Lila Buck Volner, Buddha Buck, stepdaughter, Erin Anderson McNamara, grandchildren Graceanna Volner, Zachary Volner, Anderson McNamara, Henry McManara, and siblings Christine Luzzi, David Buck, and Carolyn Buck.
Fred was buried on Friday, February 4th 2022, at the Maui Veterans Cemetery (3355 Baldwin Avenue, Makawao, Hawaii 96768).
