He was predeceased by: his mother Bessie Averette; his wife Sandra; and his father George Lee Averette Jr.. He is survived by: his son Jemal George Averette; his daughter-in-law Tiffany Averette; and his grandchildren, Jemal Sloan Averette, Sydni Dominique Averette and London Clarke Averette.
He embodied the teachings of Christ in every action, and his contributions to the church will be remembered with gratitude and admiration.
