As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though George may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George P. Atkinson, Jr. and Beatrice Draper Atkinson. He is survived by: his siblings, Laura Atkinson of Annapolis, Maryland., Jeffrey Atkinson, Nancy Irene Bell of Washington, DC, Sandra Hallahan of Severna Park, Nora Spicer of Grasonville and Michael Atkinson of Lothian, Maryland.. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and 13 grandnieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, he asked that donations be made to the Pulmonary Wellness Foundation of New York.
