She was predeceased by: her mother Jenny Jackson; her adoptive parent J. W. (Lena Jones); her husband Ellis Ruffing; and her sister Debra of Washington. She is survived by: her children, Shawn Ruffing and Miesha Ruffing (Jones); her heart Joseph Jones Jr.; her son-in-law Thomas Bunch; her brother Jay Jones; and her close friend Juanita McDonald. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and her beloved church family.
