He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Young and Eula Campbell Young; his wife Valerie Frye; and his brothers, James (Bubba) and Irvin Jr..
He is survived by: his son Michael Young (Roma Chambers); his sister Eula Mae Goffney; his granddaughter Ziona Young; his brother-in-law Larry Frye; his sibling's children, Irvin Young III, Irving Frye, Stewart, Tammy Goffney, Karen Thomas, Phyllis Frye and Dee Kimberly Frye; and his great-niece Tanisha Young. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
