He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Cook and Herbert Meehan Sr.; his sister Estelle Cenekofsky; his son Timothy Edward; and his granddaughter Alyssa Cavanaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Borst; his children, Lauren, Mike (Vicki), Leslie Cavanaugh (Eric), Chris (Terri) and Todd (Christy); and his grandchildren, Stephanie Wissing, Jacob Meehan (Brittany), Jonathon Wissing (Kay), Taylor Cavanaugh, Matthew Meehan (Alix), Ben Cavanaugh, Morgan Meehan, Paige Meehan, Claire Meehan, Lilly Meehan, Sarah DiChiara (Ryan) and Brooke Sangalli. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
