It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Kennedy Jr. (Washington, District of Columbia), who passed away on November 21, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kennedy and Dorothy Kennedy; his brother Robert; and his nephew Ian. He is survived by: his wife Judy (Judy); his children, Brian (Kathryn), Karen Coady (Michael) and Kevin (Heather); his nephew Matthew (Ann); and his grandchildren, Ella, Katelyn, Ryan and James.
His Catholic faith and commitment to community also led him to donate his time and expertise to the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), where he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and to Freedom House of New Jersey, a not-for-profit drug addiction treatment organization, where he served on the board of directors.
