He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Coleman and Addie Mae Coleman; his wife Gloria Ann Coleman; his sister Helen C. Holloway; and his son Brian Davon Coleman.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Michele Coleman, Renee Coleman, Rhonda Coleman, Tara Gilbert (Gregory) and James Lamont Coleman; his grandchildren, Marqui, Aaron, Leah, Lequire (Tre), Will (Jahleel), Ryan and Jaday; his great grandchildren, Royal, Raqui and Ryze; his niece Jacqueline Holloway-Paris; his nephew Dwayne Holloway (Kimberly); his brother-in-law Andrew Holloway; his in-laws, Gayle Sykes, Kathy Pender (Clyde), Joseph Blakes (Lucy) and Carol Butler; and his godson Jason Hancock (Auri Cohn). He is also survived by friend; and a host of other relatives, friends.
