He is survived by: his son James Michael Monahan II of Chicago; his grandson James Dominic "JD" Monahan II; his daughter Patricia "Amy" Reischauer of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Emily, Caitlin Elizabeth and Chase Danton; his son Christopher Brady Monahan of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Christopher Brady, Caroline Grace and Jonathan Maxwell; his son Matthew Sean Francis Monahan of Seattle, Washington; his great grandchild Melissa Suzanne Monahan of Blue River; Aiden Brady "Boba" Eckart.
