It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Robinson (Washington, District of Columbia), who passed away on June 16, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robinson and Mattie Bell Wash Robinson; his siblings, Willie G. Robinson (Uncle Bill), Claude W. Robinson, Albert R. Robinson (Uncle Tet) and Addie L. Robinson Stevens; his spouse Queenie Mae Pettaway; and his daughter Michelle Abdu-Muwwakil (Ishaq).
He is survived by: his siblings, Salle M. Stevens, Lena B. Watkins, Alma Robinson, Charlie D. Robinson (Uncle David), Anna Carter (Aunt Neal), Holly Walter Robinson (Uncle Bo), Jessie Lou P. Brooks and Valerie Todd; and his children, Valencia R. Brown (John), Gale Robinson, Frances Robinson, James (Gary), Nathaniel Robinson (Robby) and Jeanine Robinson.
