He was predeceased by : his parents, William Alfred Yerby and Julia Lela Taylor of Remo, Virginia.. He is survived by : his wife Earnestine; his daughters, Theresa Yvonne Reynolds (Wesley), Linda Darnell Houston (Thomas), C. Veronica Holden and Vanessa Arlene Yerby; his grandchildren, Thomas Jackson Houston (Stacy), Robert Andre (Bobby) and Phillip Alonzo Yerby; his siblings, Lela Wood of Mesquite Tx, Ceddra Jones of Remo, Margaret Haynie (Herbert) of Philadelphia and Clarence R. Yerby (Delores) of Baltimore; and his foster sons, Jerris of Washington, DC, Malcom Perkins of Washington, DC and Paul Stewart of Leehigh Acres. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Even after the ministry was suspended due to covid, he still found ways to get food to provide for people in the neighborhood.
