She was predeceased by : her father James. She is survived by : her husband Gary; her brother Elwood McKinney of Fort Worth; her nephew Scott McKinney of Dallas, Texas; her children, Robert Garofalo (Jamie) of Nantucket, MA., John Garofalo (Carly) of Los Angeles and Anne Garofalo Paterno of Washington, DC; and her grandsons, Charles Bruno Paterno, Valentino Mario Garofalo and Rocco Bello Garofalo.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home (5130 Wisconsin Ave, Washington, DC 20016). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (3513 N St NW, Washington, DC 20007). A reception was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
