It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Barbara Dempsay of Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire her loved ones, keeping Joan's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While her presence may be gone, her impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Eva Barker and Benjamin Barker; her husband Louis Dempsay; and her daughters, Pam Hauff, Debbie Collins and Laura Raigoza. She was also cherished by her three daughters, nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
