Joanna Pedas Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanna Pedas (Washington, District of Columbia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2025 at the age of 60. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Evanthia Ann Kontos and Nick John Marmaras; her husband George Theodore Pedas; her children, Theodore George James Pedas and Paulina Evangeline Pedas; her sister Nicolette; her mother-in-law Lea (family: Mitch, Kay, Jim, Wanda, Jimmy, Sharon, Nicole, Chris, Keith, Billy, Kelli, Michele, George); her uncle Deno; and her father-in-law Ted (Janet). She was also cherished by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, godparents, and godchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Joseph Gawler's Sons (5130 Wisconsin Ave, Washington, DC 20016). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral (2815 36th St NW, Washington, DC 20007).
