John Dewitt Macomber Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Dewitt Macomber in Washington, District of Columbia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his significant others, Caroline and Even; and his brothers, William B. Macomber Jr. and Robert R. Macomber. He is survived by: his children, Janet Williamson of Portland, OR, Elizabeth of Vashon, WA and William of Los Angeles, CA.; his daughters-in-law, Kelly and Annie; and his grandchildren, Coleridge, John, Alexander, Ian, Caroline and Dorothy.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at the Christ Church (3116 O St NW, Washington, DC 20007).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Haven Conservation Partners or Ocean Conservancy.
