With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Dyer Talbott (Washington, District of Columbia), who passed away on February 1, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Talbott and Alice Foley Talbott. He is survived by: his children, Jay Talbott, Scott Talbott (LeeAnn Hodges), Sharon Talbott and Alison Durland (Eric); his grandchildren, Daisy, Cecelia, John III, Edward, Lauren, Nathan and Emily; and his siblings, Ned, Tom and Priscilla. He is also survived by friends, and wonderful caregivers.

He and Ellen believed strongly in philanthropy, donating both time and money to Blessed Sacrament school and church, among other charities.
