He was predeceased by: his parents, John Q. Gardner, Sr. and Lola E. Gardner; and his siblings, Mary Lee, Velma Ruth, Minnie Lou and Lensor.
He is survived by: his sister Ernestine Smith Burtonsville, MD (Earl Sr.); and his nieces and nephews, Francine Walden of Laurel, MD, Jennifer Jackson (Dwayne), Earl Smith, Jr., Ernest Smith (Nikole), Eric Smith, Reginald Walden, Jr. and Donnell Seales (Jackie). He is also survived by God-children; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
He was an active member of this church for 20 years, until the onset of the Covid pandemic.
