He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond J. Sontag and Dorothea Sontag; and his brothers, William and James Sontag. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, Claire Sontag and Raymond Sontag; his daughter-in-law Meghan Sontag; his grandchildren, Jack and Thomas Sontag; and his sister Mary. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
