He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Musgrove and Eva Witcher Musgrove; and his siblings, George Musgrove, Charlie Musgrove, Jr., Jessie Musgrove, Freddie Musgrove, Lizzie Musgrove and Susan Musgrove.
He is survived by: his children, Germaine Mensah of Alexandria, LaShawn L. Musgrove of Washington, DC and John T. Musgrove, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his siblings, Ella Musgrove of Maryland, Silas Musgrove (Muzell) of Java and Tommy Musgrove (Mary) of Florida. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
