She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Dr. Wellington Gibson; her children, Dr. Shenika O. S. Gibson and Georgina Gibson-Clarke; her grandchildren, Worick Curry, Tresca, Contricia and Leighton Clarke; and her great grandchildren, O'mari Curry and Jarvis Clarke. She was also cherished by relatives and dear friends.

The lying in state was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Imani Temple (2420 Brooks Dr, Hillcrest Heights, MD 20746). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the same location.
