She was predeceased by: her parents, Gopaldas Chawla and Devibai Chawla; and her sister Usha Chawla. She is survived by: her husband Toke Jayachandran; her daughters, Priya and Seema Jayachandran; her grandchildren, Tobias, Nina and Sybil Grygiel; her son-in-law Jakub Grygiel; and her siblings, Veena Chawla, Baldev Chawla, Krishan and Kailash.
