With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karl David Alexander of Washington, District of Columbia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Alexander, Jr. and Corrine Watkins (Hines); his daughter Susan; his brothers, Tim and Mickey; and his brother-in-law Brock McClung.
He is survived by: his stepparent LaVerne Watkins; his wife Bettie Alexander (Phillips); his children, Charles and Tracy; and his siblings, Karen Watkins-McClung, Ronnie, Phil and Judy Alexander (Sharon). He is also survived by cousins and other loving relatives.
Karl continued his equally-active civilian musical career for the next 35 years, allowing only the COVID pandemic and his long-term illness to silence his horn.
