He was predeceased by: his mother Deokidai Gangadhar; his spouse Parbette Spangler; his stepson Dirk; and his brothers, Umardath and Saindath.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Rik and Erik; his brothers, Krishnadath and Simbhoodath; his sisters-in-law, Jaiwantee, Suhindra and Siewmatie; his sisters, Hema and Chandra; and his brothers-in-law, Harry and Ranji. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
