Leonard leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Leonard’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Leonard will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by: his children, Lynette Hardy, Leia Harris and Keith Neal; and his sisters, Dorothy Hughley and Eunice Barner. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church (3000 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, Washington, DC 20020). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
