She was predeceased by: her parents, James Magee and Louvenia Walden Magee. She is survived by: her spouse Willie C. Gafney, Sr.; her children, Wilda C. Gafney and W. C. Gafney II; her grandchildren, Bakari, Arria and Hashim; her great grandchild Aiya; her siblings, Fenolosia C. Martin of Dallas, Maxine M. Greene (Willie M. Greene) of Garysburg, John Rogers Magee of Sargent Major, U. S and William Magee; her daughters, Angela M. Greene of Raleigh, Julia Goodman Gafney of Upper Marlboro, Opal Scott of Bowie and Ruth Annette Magee of Seat Pleasant; and her brothers, J. Mark Magee, James Otis Magee and Rev. Henry M. Magee. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

To the Magee and Gafney family, I do understand that you are grieving now, but as you go through the process, God will see you through. Continue to think of the many good times that you and she had together. She was a lovely lady, an expert educator, and a devoted Christian. We will all miss her. Be safe and blessed. Dr. Cathine G.
