He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramaswamy and Lakshmi. He is survived by: his children, Bala Chandar (Regina) and Vijaya Lakshmi (Atul Pathiyal); his grandchildren, Vijaya (Matt Lang), Adya (Bobby Soto), Deven Rangaswami, Arjun, Ashwin and Aditya Pathiyal; his great grandchild George Kavi; his sister-in-law Mangayama; his sibling's children, Shanthi Alagirisamy and Alargirisamy Ayyalusamy; his sibling's children, Sonia Legore, Alejandra Ruiz, Thatha and Avva; his pet Caramel; Vijay Alagirisamy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, in memory of M.R. Rangaswami.
