We are sad to announce that on June 27, 2025, at the age of 95, Margaret Lucille Ann Harris of Washington, District of Columbia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grace Edna Middleton and Joseph Clagett; her husband Robert Lee Harris, Sr. of Children's Hospital; her daughters, Tamara Ann Harris-Brannum "Tammy" and Margaret Amelia Harris "Peggy"; her son-in-law Donald V. Brannum, Jr.; her siblings, Adele Avent, Teresa Odessa Fox, Elizabeth Ann Lewis-Davis, Edna Mae Brown, Mary Hilda Branson, Anthony Clagett and Joseph Clagett; and her goddaughter Ann Lewis-Newman.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Lee Harris, Jr., Janet Rosa Harris and Edna Theresa Harris; her granddaughter Bernadette Letitia Harris; her great grandchild Kenneth Eathan Harris; her siblings, Veronica Conchita Graham (James) and Charles B. Clagett, Sr. (Theresa); and her goddaughters, Mary Hawkins and Ayanna Surratte. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (4275 4th St SE, Washington, DC 20032). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery (4001 Suitland Rd, Suitland, MD 20746).
