“Dear Ones, As the hymn goes, "My heart is pained too deeply for mirth or song." Melva was a dear dear friend. The last time we spoke, she called me while I was taking Gale to her post kidney op visit in Baltimore. It was Jan. 6th and she was worried for us. She let us know that should we run into trouble we could find safe refuge with the Brittinghams. We must have talked and laughed about old times for a good hour. I cherish her and Kevin's love for us and will miss her a lot.”
