She is survived by: her brother Garland Alston (Carmen); her sister-in-law Yvonne Alston; and her grandchildren, Timothy R. Beck, Aziyrah A. Peters, Danisha J. Calloway, Aaron D. Cook, Dante D. Gregory and Kimyah A. Dockery. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; a devoted goddaughter; a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends.
