It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mulinda Lee Rodgers-Smith in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Ernest Rodgers and Leona Rodgers; her husband Herbert Smith; her children, Rochelle Lee Smith, Antonio Smith and LaCretia Gray; her siblings, Pauline Sanders (Polly), Flossie Pearl Howard, Willie Edward Rodgers, Mary Christine Rodgers, Leamon Earl Rodgers, Emearl Rodgers, Earnestine Wise and Eula Mae Hinton of Smithfield, NC; and her grandchildren, Ashley Mason and Anthony Smith. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was employed by the Federal Government working at the National Science Foundation for 27 years before retiring.
