She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Durant and Ophelia Durant; and her former husband Arthur Edward King "Flop". She is survived by: her husband Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity; her daughter Tiffany V. King; her nephew Darryl Joyce (Ester); and her sisters-in-law, JoAnn King (late Curley) and Cammille K. Taylor (Leroy Sr.). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Luke Catholic Church (4925 East Capitol St SE, Washington, DC 20019). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Quantico National Cemetery (18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172).
