Patrick Ellis Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Ellis (Washington, District of Columbia), who passed away on July 16, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Delaney Ellis and Roy Alexander Ellis; and his brother Roy M. Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Angela Green Ellis of Churchton; his daughters, Susan Cooper of Landover and Adina Ellis Cato (Bobby Cato, Jr.) of Washington, D. C; his grandchildren, Aaron, Lindsey Cooper and Cassius Cato; his nephew Roy "Chip" Ellis; his great-nephew Clayton Ellis; and his sister-in-law Patricia Ellis. He is also survived by other relatives, friends.

Patrick C. Ellis passed peacefully of complications from the coronavirus.

“I'm feeling numb, having heard that my Mentor, Adviser and Good friend has transitioned and received his heavenly wings! Patrick Ellis, opened the door and gave me my start in radio back in 95', teaching, instructing, showing me how the radio business works, allowing me to be his on-air partner on his Gospel Radio show and welcoming me to the Whur family!! He will always be "The Dean of Gospel Radio" What times we had!! Thank you!!! My condolences to the Ellis Family!”
