“I knew Phyllis from our church, Wesley United Methodist Church in Washington, DC and she was a dear and wonderful friend. We joined the church only months apart. Phyllis was a joy to all who knew her. She would bring flowers for our hospitality table, would greet the people at the door at our church services, help with feeding the homeless and serving coffee etc along with others. She was also a beautiful woman. We shall see her again in Heaven. Love & sympathy to the family. Joan Marie Rooks”
