He is survived by: his wife Judith Sugarman; his children, Kenneth Sugarman (Tommy Llewellyn) and Caryn Sugarman Stein; his grandchildren, Jessica Stein DeGirolamo (TJ DeGirolamo) and Brett Stein; his sister Elsa Weinstein; his son-in-law Bill Stevens; and his nieces and nephews, Jill Weinstein Finci, Phil Weinstein, Bram Weinstein, Cheryl Burke and David Norris. He is also survived by spouses and many great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 12:00 PM. A shiva was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Late Residence. A burial was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at the Falls Church (2712 Hollywood Rd, Falls Church, VA 22042).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charitable organization of one's choice in Richard's memory.
