It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammie Jean Bell (Washington, District of Columbia), who passed away on November 24, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Jasper Earl; her son Vincent Earl (Smith); and her siblings, Donald Ray, Alex Marcus, Emerson Charles, Elmer, McKinley, Carl Rudolf, John Samuel and Bobbie Jo Roberson Jones.
She is survived by : her sisters, Shirley Temple Delvino, Ora Lee Curtis, Sharon Lynn Williams and Doris Elizabeth of Washington; her children, Kenneth (Celestine), Ronald (Shirley), Michael T. (Faith), Douglas and Min; her siblings, Dr. Jerrion G. Smith, III of Arlington, Ronald Carlton Roberson of Kansas City and Johnnie Lee Robertson (Willie Mae Roberson) of Marshall; her grandchildren, LaShawn, Kenneth II, Tiffany Khristian, Tyler, Raymond, Rev. Michael C., Israel, Dominique, Nia, Ashley, Letrevis, Jas, Moriah, Amaris and Simone; and her sister Bernice Morris (Betty'). She is also survived by fourteen great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
